A higher purpose

A higher purpose
Trouble & Turmoil

The world is full of trouble and turmoil.

Pain happens. Strife occurs. Jobs are lost. Pets die. Diseases strike. Lots of people that we know have died, or will die someday. Friends die. Family members die.

What is your purpose?

Having our purpose be to “have a good time”, or “to avoid trouble”, when these troubles and turmoils come will cause much angst.

Hope will be lost and no purpose will be seen in the suffering. Depression and anxiety will be felt throughout this time.

What is our purpose?

However, knowing that the purpose of the created order is the Church (Col. 1:15-23) will help a bunch.

When trouble and turmoil hit, it is possible to look to a greater or higher purpose.

How is this suffering and trouble helping the church? How will my trouble be used for the good of the church in the future?

The idea of the already, but not yet will sustain us through difficulties as we see that in the end everything fits into the master purpose of building up Christ’s church.

So seeing how our difficulties will glorify the bride of Christ, and ultimately Christ will make them easier, but not necessarily easy.

May Christ grant us grace to see this.
