Christianity is not a solitary endeavor

C.S. Lewis said, "No Christian and, indeed, no historian could accept the epigram which defines religion as 'what a man does with his solitude.'"

A Christian is not an island. Any man, woman, or child that thinks such a thing has been hopelessly deluded by the Devil. The Devil wants nothing more than for us to think this.

Christ did not die for one, but he died for many. He died that they might be one, however. Read John 17 and you will find Christ ask 3 separate times that Christians might be one. He never asked that they might be one alone. Instead, he asked that they would be unified. The reason joined to this was that others might see this unity and come to salvation.

Evangelism is effective as Christian's walk together, united. When the world sees us walking separately, they see themselves. They don't want to be themselves. They are tired and empty, they are lonely and missing one of the fundamental joys of life...Christian Community.

God created Adam, then determined that it was not good for him to be alone. He then created Eve, and said that his creation was then good. It wasn't until man had community, that man had a complete picture of the image of God in man.

Before Eve, there was the image of God in man in knowledge, righteousness and holiness. After Eve, there was the image of God in man in community. The Trinity, one essence, three persons are united and form a perfect community. Now, with Adam and Eve becoming one flesh, they now mirrored the beauty of community.

So, having said that...find your Christian friends, hang out, love one another, share the gospel.
